Annually during the months of May and October, the Town of Elsmere waives building permit fees for the following home improvements: Roofs, Siding, Driveways, Doors, Windows and Sidewalks.
Please note that all requested repairs in which a permit fee has been waived must be completed by the last day of the subsequent month. During the month of May work must be completed and pass inspection by June 30th. During the month of October work must be completed and pass inspection by November 30th.
Permits must still be applied for and issued before the work can begin.
Permit applications must be submitted by the contractor. The homeowner must sign a statement to be submitted with the permit acknowledging that the permit fee has been waived.
