Mayor and Council and Finance Committee Public Hearing Concerning the FY 2020 – 2021 Annual Budget
The Mayor and Council and Finance Committee of the Town of Elsmere will hold a Public Hearing concerning the Town’s 2020 – 2021 Operating, Revenue and Capital Improvement Budgets. The Public Hearing will be held virtually on Thursday, June 11, 2020 and will begin at 5:00 P.M. The agenda for this meeting and copies of the proposed budgets are available for inspection by the public at the Town Hall and may be obtained between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. Monday through Friday with the exception of holidays.
After hearing testimony and having their questions answered it is anticipated that the Mayor and Council will set the property tax rate for the 2020 – 2021 Fiscal Year and adopt the Town’s FY 2020 – 2021 Operating, Revenue and Capital Improvement Budgets as well as determining if the New Castle County Property Assessment Roles should be used for Town purposes.
Should the Mayor and Council fail to adopt a final budget on June 11, 2020, a special meeting of the Mayor and Council as well as the Finance Committee will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at 9:00 A.M. and will be held virtually for the same purpose as stated above.
